IPL 2022 Auction: Royal Challengers Bangalore to buy 5 players
RCB has retained three players and expects to strengthen its squad in the upcoming IPL 2022 auction.
A total of 600 players are expected to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction to be held in Bangalore from February 12 to 13. The Lucknow Super Giants and the Gujarat Titans - two new teams - named their three draft selections last month, though the existing eight owners retained some players before the auction. In the run-up to the IPL auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained three players, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammad Siraj, and look forward to strengthening their squad at the upcoming event.
List of players retained by Bangalore Royal Challengers:
Glenn Maxwell (Rs 11 crore)
Mohammad Siraj (7 crores)
Remaining RCB Purse: 57 crore
Here are 5 players who need to buy RCB in IPL 2022 auction
1. David Warner (maximum 6 crores)
David Warner is the most consistent player in the IPL series. By taking Sunrisers Hyderabad to the IPL title in 2016, Warner could be a better captain. The desire to replace him at the helm.
2. Trent Bolt (maximum 4 crores)
The New Zealand fast bowler has been in excellent form for the Mumbai Indians for the past two seasons. However, he was released five times by the champions. Bolt, who was a player in the 2020 IPL final, could start the auction battle. RCB has not seen a Marquee wicket-taker for years, and Bolt can certainly deliver on them.
3. Rahul Sahar (Maximum Rs. 4 crores)
Rahul Sahar was one of the key scorers for the Mumbai Indians final in 2020. With the release of RCB Yusvendra Sahal, Rahul Sahar may be the best replacement for Sahal.
4. Mitchell Marsh (maximum Rs. 5 crores)
After years of struggle due to a series of knee injuries, Mitchell Marsh has finally regained his form as he helped Australia to the T20 World Cup title last year. He can take wickets and can also be a match-winner with the bat. The RCB must obtain the services of an Australian all-rounder.
5. Dewalt Priv (Maximum Rs. 75 lakhs)
One of the stars of the recently concluded U19 World Cup, South Africa's Dewalt Privice was the tournament's highest scorer with 506 runs in six matches. RCB should buy him and grow him as a finisher.
